you will support the Space Vehicle Engineering Lead through
development, test, and delivery of highly capable space systems.
You will report to the Chief Engineer or the Lead Systems Engineer
who is responsible to ensure the company delivers a system that
meets our customers' technical performance specifications and their

continual learning and strong execution.What You'll Do:
- Perform Systems Engineering tasks throughout the entire
lifecycle of programs or IR&D projects.
- Generate engineering documentation including specifications,
interface control documents, and test plans.
- Manage requirements with MBSE (Cameo), DOORS or other
designated software system.
- Support the hardware assembly, integration, and test team,
including test execution and anomaly resolution.
- Conduct spacecraft performance modeling and simulation.
- Work on spacecraft subsystems such as power, telecom,
propulsion, command and data handling, or attitude determination
and control systems.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across multiple
organizations.
- Participate in writing proposals and creating and delivering
presentations.
- Support the development of and conduct mission operations for
NASA, DoD, and commercial customers.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within
the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic
Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with
others in order to maintain a positive and productive work
environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment:
This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work
location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and
other possible non-company locations may be required.Working
Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor,
or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of
protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather
conditions.#IJSRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field
is required plus 8 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may
substitute for two years of experience. Related technical
experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be
from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an
agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department
of Education.
- A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
- Experience with systems engineering tools and processes,
including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience in space systems engineering (spacecraft systems,
mission systems, ground systems, payload systems, or space hardware
integration and test).
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to
understand the customer's needs and provide clear communication of
proposed solutions.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to present to internal
teams as well as the customer.
- A willingness to learn and collaborate within a team.Preferred
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Advanced software skills, such as Cameo Systems Modeler,
Confluence, DOORS, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, LabVIEW, Microsoft Office
Suite, SolidWorks, Systems Tool Kit (STK)l.
- Advanced Language skills, such as MATLAB, Python, LINUX/UNIX,
C, C++, IDL and other analytical tools.Pay InformationFull-Time
Salary Range: $112420.000 - $191070.000Please note: This range is
based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries
are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited
to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal
equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills,
